Our Story

I am Nicole, mother of one courageous little boy and the founder of Smudged Designs, creating all the magic from our humble abode.

I always love to hear how a small business started and how the business name was chosen, so here is Smudged Designs story.

Whilst cooking my little bundle he was referred to as ‘Smudge’ and the nickname stuck! Once he made his appearance into this big wide world, he was still known as 'Smudge' for his first few weeks, until a name had been decided upon.

I naturally wanted to include his name in some way when deciding on my business name, after much toiling with words ‘Smudged Designs’ was chosen, feeling perfect.

Now armed with a Business name, I was ready to make the move from creating personal meaningful gifts for friends and family into a small business capturing all those special people and moments in your life.
